Tourism In Panama
Here are some Tourism Highlights in the city

Panama Canal
A marvel of modern engineering that connects two oceans, the Atlantic and the Pacific. Morgan Freeman narrates the IMAX documentary that’s part of the tour, which is worth it for that alone.

Casco Viejo (Old City)
Casco Viejo is a historic neighborhood and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you can learn about Panamanian history (e.g. Mola Museum and the Canal Museum), visit various cathedrals and plazas, and purchase souvenirs. This area is also home to the majority of the city’s restaurants, bars, and rooftop venues.

Poin Panama
Located at the top of a modern skyscraper. It offers visitors a variety of experiences and incredible panoramic views of the city, including the skyline, the Pacific Ocean, the historic Casco Viejo, and even the Panama Canal on the horizon.

Biomuseo
Learn about Panama’s biodiversity and geological history. Located on the Amador Causeway, with stunning views of the Panama Canal and the city skyline, its striking, colorful architecture was designed by the renowned Pritzker-Prize winning architect Frank Gehry, making it his only work in Latin America.
Fun fact: Yes, Stevan has a few of Gehry’s buildings visited on his instagram- but he’s not a super fan. Seriously.

Las Perlas Archipelago
We recommend the main island of the Archipielago, Contadora Island. Enjoy beautiful crystal waters of the Pacific. Due to the convenience of its services and the number of rental houses it offers, it’s a good destination to visit if you want to go to the beach.

Taboga Island
Closest island to the city. If you want to go to the beach for just a day this is a good option. We also recommend the hotel: “Villa Caprichosa” for day passes/stays.
